A study of Erosion.

This ongoing series of pen-and-ink studies explores the Hopewell Rocks as a landscape continually shaped and rebuilt by the Bay of Fundy tides.

Working from my own photography and observations of the site, I use detailed freehand ink drawings to examine the formations individually—their contours, textures, openings, balance, and the visible effects of erosion over time.

Rather than treating the Rocks simply as a recognizable New Brunswick landmark, these studies approach them as natural architecture: monumental forms that are temporary by nature, constantly changing with water, weather, and time.
