The Acadian Historical Village
This ongoing pen-and-ink series explores the Acadian Historical Village through the people, places, tools, and traditions that bring its history to life.
Working from my own photography and time spent observing the site, I create detailed freehand ink drawings that focus on both the architecture and the quieter moments of daily life—from weathered buildings and historic interiors to hands at work, traditional skills, and small details that might otherwise go unnoticed.
The series is an evolving visual record of Acadian heritage, created through close observation and a curiosity about how history is preserved not only in buildings and objects, but in the continued practice of making, working, and sharing knowledge.
